The deal includes curated video podcasts from genres like sports, culture, lifestyle, and true crime, initially launching in the US and expanding to other countries later. This marks Netflix's first major move into the podcast space and allows Spotify to expand its video content offerings.
Key details of the partnership
Content: A curated selection of video podcasts from Spotify Studios and The Ringer will be available on Netflix, with more content from other studios and genres to be added over time.
Timeline: The initial rollout is expected in early 2026 in the United States, with a global expansion to follow.
Advertising: While typical ads will be present within the podcasts, Netflix will not add extra commercial breaks to the shows, even on its ad-supported tier.
