Creators, It’s Time To Show Up.

Let's Stand Up For Our Neighbors

Editor’s note: I posted just about 20 minutes ago and immediately your response was for me to send it again but not as a footnote but as a standalone post. So here it is, please share within your online communities. I hear your feedback loud and clear… so here it is.

Creators, it’s time to show up.

Right now in Los Angeles… and in cities across the country, our immigrant siblings are being hunted, harassed, and detained by ICE.

They are not criminals.
They are workers, artists, parents, students, and neighbors.
They are the very people who shape the communities we say we love.

Thousands are protesting in the streets, putting their bodies on the line. But not everyone can — and that’s okay.

There are still so many ways to stand up.

And if you’re a creator, you already have a platform. A voice. An audience. Use it.

Here’s what you can do right now:

  • Document ICE activity at Home Depots, courthouses, and job centers (don’t interfere, just observe).

  • Call this hotline if you witness a raid: 📞 Union Del Barrio: (213) 444-6562

  • Donate to the GoFundMe for families impacted by the raids.

  • Share Know Your Rights info (available in multiple languages).

  • Support a protester with gear, bail funds, or a ride.

  • Post. Share. Tag. Amplify. Your voice might be the one that shifts someone into action.

And if you’re a U.S. citizen, or someone with safety and privilege, this is the moment to show up for those who can’t.

We don’t need you to be perfect.
We need you to be present.
We need you to be loud.

As NDLON said:
“If you are privileged, if you are a citizen, if you are not at risk of deportation — please go.”

So go. Or speak. Or give. Or amplify.

But don’t look away.
We’re stronger when we stand together.
