My name is George Torres

I teach visionaries, innovators, and cultural entrepreneurs how to leverage their stories to unlock their true potential by focusing on the most impactful aspects of their business.

Since 1997, I’ve built and launched major branded projects as a pioneer in the digital space. I founded one of the longest-running Latino-focused websites on the internet and the first-ever live Latino talk show on the web. As the founder of Sofrito Media Group, I have guided the agency into becoming a leading online brand management platform. I’ve advised a diverse clientele—including Fortune 500 companies—on how to leverage their brands for greater sales and visibility through blogging, podcasts, social media platforms, and live events.

My expertise as a bilingual, award-winning digital storyteller and strategist has been key to the success of initiatives like the Hispanicize Conference, El Centro at Hunter College, and the National Puerto Rican Day Parade. But I’ve also faced significant obstacles due to a lack of access to the right resources, mentors, sponsors, education, and funding. This left me in a constant hustle, and while many of my projects were ahead of their time, they didn’t always reach their full potential. Through Siembra Connect, I want to change that narrative. My goal is to provide opportunities for creators to connect with community partners who can help eliminate gatekeepers, fill in resource gaps, and accelerate the growth of impact-driven entrepreneurship.

Looking Ahead I’m thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of "Siembra Sessions," a re-imagined version of my podcast, which will be available on Spotify, iTunes, and YouTube. This podcast will be a space for honest conversations about personal development within our community. I firmly believe that by sharing our stories, we can inspire growth in others. My guests will dive deep into their personal experiences, offering insights that amplify the visibility and understanding of the communities they represent. I’m also working on building relationships that will bring value through sponsorships, strategic partnerships, and funding opportunities.

Ultimately, my dream is to create a summit where we can gather in person and continue these important conversations as a community.
