Today’s my birthday… my 54th trip around the universe.

And while I’m grateful for another year, I don’t really want a specific gift this year.
What I have is a wishlist of different ways to support something that matters deeply to me: mental health.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and I’ve made a commitment to talk about it daily. Not just when it trends. Not just for the month. Every. Single. Day… even after May 31st.

Because the truth is this:

• 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. live with a mental health condition.

• Most creators report anxiety, burnout, or depression tied to the pressure of constantly performing.

• And men—especially Black and Latino men—are the least likely to seek help and the most likely to suffer in silence.

We’re told to man up. Keep it moving.
That has not helped, and it consistently costs more lives every day.

To every creator reading this;

I see you.

I see you pushing out content even when your heart’s not in it.
I see you smiling on camera when behind the scenes you’re falling apart.
I see you juggling client work, algorithms, bills—and self-doubt.
I see you showing up through burnout, through grief, through silence.
I see you creating with limited time, tools, or support.
I see you wondering if any of it is worth it.
I see you losing sleep over your dream.
I see you doing your best with so little left in the tank.

And even when the world scrolls past,
Even when the metrics lie,
Even when you feel invisible—

I see you.

what I am building here is for you.

You matter. Your work matters. Your healing matters.

So today, my call for support is to the healers.
To the therapists, coaches, energy workers, educators, and community leaders.
To the people who hold space for others:

I need you. We need you.

Let’s collaborate. Let’s build something intentional—spaces where creators can breathe, be real, and feel safe.

Let’s turn this moment into a movement.

That’s what I want for my birthday.

A louder, more consistent conversation around healing—grounded in action, equity, and care.
