They Are Trying To Break Up La Onda
But We Are Gonna Turn It On Them

META SHUTS DOWN DIVERSITY INITIATIVES
Cultivators…
When I heard that Meta was shutting down Dale Tú and We The Culture, I wasn’t surprised—but I was disappointed.
These programs weren’t just Facebook groups. They were real spaces where Black and Latino creators could access resources, funding, and opportunities that we don’t always get. Dale Tú uplifted Latino creators. We The Culture did the same for Black creators. And now? They’re gone.
Meta says it’s because of the “shifting legal and policy landscape” around diversity efforts in the U.S.—aka, the Supreme Court decisions that are making it harder for companies to prioritize equity. It’s the same old story: they launch initiatives for us when it’s convenient, and when things get tough, they pull the plug.
And this is exactly why I created Siembra Connect.
Note: I do not even have a link to an external platform covering this, this is how quiet it is kept.
I refuse to build my empire on borrowed land. I refuse to let my success depend on a platform that can change the rules whenever they feel like it. Siembra Connect is platform-agnostic because our work, our culture, and our impact deserve more than an algorithm’s permission.
This space exists to help creators:
✅ Build businesses that last—no matter what platform comes or goes.
✅ Use social media as a tool—not as our only source of income or visibility.
✅ Find real community and support—from people who actually understand the game.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen corporations walk away from their “commitment” to us, and it won’t be the last. But that’s why we have to build something that can’t be taken away.
So, if you’re ready to take control of your creator journey, I got you. Let’s build something real—together.
This week, I am proud to finally release the Siembra Session series on the podcast available exclusively on YouTube for now.
Pitch me… if you are interested in collaborating.
