My name is George Torres, and I’m thrilled to be joining the world’s longest-running annual, in-person podcasting conference. PODFEST EXPO isn’t just an event—it’s a celebration of storytelling, innovation, and community, and I can’t wait to immerse myself in this inspiring environment.

Why PODFEST Matters To Me:
PODFEST is built on the pillars of Education, Collaboration, and Community—principles that align perfectly with my approach to content creation and cultural preservation. I am curious to see what’s possible when creators come together to share ideas and amplify each other's voices.
Who Am I?:
As I mentioned, my name is George & I elevate Latino culture as an award-winning storyteller, producer, workshop facilitator, change agent, and social media visibility consultant. Through my platform, Sofrito Media Group, I raise awareness about brands and initiatives that present, promote, and preserve our culture. My mission is to equip creators and organizations with the tools they need to engage meaningfully with their audiences, using the power of social storytelling.
Why I’m Attending:
In February, I will officially launch my new general market creator podcast, Siembra Sessions (my third) This new project represents a significant evolution of my mission to amplify creator voices that share stories that inspire, inform, and cultivate growth.
I am attending PODFEST EXPO 2025 to connect with potential partners, sponsors, service providers, and platforms that can help me take this podcast to new heights. I would also love to collaborate with fellow podcasters and explore opportunities to be a guest on their shows, further expanding our shared audience and making meaningful connections.
What’s My Story?
Growing up, I was disappointed that our Latino stories weren’t represented in history textbooks. Conversations with my grandmother, Gloria DelRio, about her community work inspired me to create Sofrito For Your Soul in 1997—the first Latino storytelling website dedicated to celebrating our history and adding context to our legacy.
Since then, I’ve co-founded, developed, and produced award-winning social campaigns, live and virtual events for organizations like LATISM, Hispanicize, Wells Fargo, JetBlue, NYC Health & Hospitals, AARP, and many more. My journey has taught me that storytelling isn’t just about words—it’s about legacy
