A few days ago, someone on LinkedIn asked me:
“Are you getting ready for Latino Heritage Month?”

I smiled. But inside, I knew they didn’t fully understand what I do.

Every September, as Latino Heritage Month approaches, my inbox fills with invitations to speak, lead workshops, or host story circles. And every year, I ask the same question:

So my answer was simple:
