Audit: How to Review Your Digital Footprint
I want to share my Audit - Align - Amplify framework.
Originally part of “MyThree Words” exercise a few year back, it has become the foundational lesson I teach when I take on new clients.

Audit is the foundation of growth and alignment. It’s a deliberate and reflective process of taking stock of where you currently stand. In the Siembra framework, this means examining your platforms, processes, content, and values with a critical lens. The goal is to identify what's working, what’s not, and what’s misaligned with your mission, audience, or goals.
Through this process, creators and community builders uncover hidden opportunities, assess gaps in their strategy, and gain clarity on the tools and resources they need to move forward. Audit is not about perfection—it's about awareness and setting the stage for intentional, impactful progress.
By focusing on data, storytelling, and authenticity, the Audit step empowers creators to better understand their digital footprint and creative direction, ensuring that every decision that follows is informed and strategic.
5-Point Siembra Plan: How to Conduct an Audit of Your Social Media Presence
1. Cultivate Clarity: Review Your Digital Footprint
Take a step back and examine every platform where you’re active. Look at your bio, pinned content, and overall messaging. Ask yourself:
Does this represent who I am today?
Does my audience understand what I offer?
📝 Tip: Screenshot key sections to compare before-and-after progress.
2. Pull Weeds: Analyze Your Metrics
Go beyond vanity metrics (likes and follows) and focus on meaningful data:
Which posts generate the most engagement and saves?
Where do you lose followers?
What type of content drives conversations?
🌱 Siembra Mindset: Numbers tell a story—listen and learn without judgment.
3. Water What Works: Identify Strengths and Gaps
Make a list of:
🌱 Content types that resonate (reels, carousels, stories, etc.)
🍂 Formats that feel stale or unaligned
Your goal: Double down on what feels authentic and discard what doesn’t serve your community.
4. Seed New Opportunities: Check for Alignment
Ask yourself:
Am I speaking directly to my audience's needs and desires?
Is my visual style consistent and intentional?
Does my content align with my brand’s values?
🌱 Siembra is all about nurturing—not rushing. Realign before planting new seeds.
5. Nurture for Growth: Create an Actionable Plan
Break your findings into actionable categories:
✅ Quick wins (update bio, fix broken links)
📅 Mid-term goals (launch new content series, update graphics)
🎯 Long-term moves (develop partnerships, build newsletter cross-promotion)
Key takeaway: Your audit isn’t a one-time task—it’s an ongoing practice to keep your brand intentional and aligned.
I have given you the light version of the core of this practice so you can do it yourself. If you think you need help going thru this practice, visit http://www.SiembraAcademy.com to find out how I can further support you.
